CBOSS and Orange Armenia Offer Mobile Internet Users Convenient Format of High-Speed Network Access

Orange Armenia launched a special offer for active users of mobile Internet. The concept of the telecom operator, which strives to provide high-quality mobile Internet services in full compliance with user requirements, was perfectly implemented via the pre-integrated option Policy and Charging Rule Function CBOSSip::PCRF and the flexible Event Processing System CBOSSeps.

The main feature of the new offer from Orange Armenia is the continuity of access to high-speed mobile Internet: the amount of data included in the offer is automatically reactivated on a monthly basis. Subscribers don’t need to remember when the offer should be extended. All they need to do is to timely top up their accounts while CBOSSip::PCRF and CBOSSeps will take care of the rest.

The CBOSSip::PCRF policy control system is responsible for flexible data rate control. Under the telco’s new offer, which is called “Plus Internet” bundle, subscribers of postpaid voice services can purchase 500MB of high-speed Internet at a fixed price. Once this amount is used, access to the Internet is not interrupted but the data speed is reduced down to 256 Kbps. Those users who need more MBs of high-speed Internet can activate a new Plus Internet bundle, even if the validity period of the previous one has not expired.

CBOSSip::PCRF also makes sure that additional limitations on the consumption of data traffic are imposed, for instance, it monitors that Internet bundles are used “on handsets only.” In other words, a bundle purchased for a smartphone cannot be used on a tablet. This allows Orange Armenia not to cannibalize revenues from offers designed for various customer groups.

The Event Processing System CBOSSeps with its widest range of functionality supports all the features of the new offer’s logic. CBOSSeps checks a number of key parameters at the bundle’s activation or reactivation, after which the fee for the bundle is charged automatically.

Customers can activate the bundle in any convenient way: both at Orange shops and on their own by using intuitive self-service tools such as USSD requests (enabled by CBOSSussd) or the IVR service (through CBOSSivr). In addition, CBOSSeps conveniently provides the users with regular notifications of changes in the status of the Internet bundle.

Thanks to the high level of expertise of the CBOSS team, the new offer from Orange Armenia was launched in a quick and timely manner. Continuous cooperation with CBOSS enables Orange Armenia to keep pace with the times and provide high-quality mobile Internet services to its customers fully meeting their growing needs.
