At the end of 2014, CBOSS, a manufacturer of high-performance convergent BSS solutions for the telecom market, signed an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) agreement with Symantec, a global leader in providing infrastructure software and services for information security and management.
CBOSS and Symantec have been successfully cooperating for many years. Symantec components seamlessly incorporated into CBOSS convergent solutions ensure high data availability, reliability of data storage, and efficient and easy data management for CBOSS customers. However, before the signing of the OEM agreement, Symantec provided technical support of its components on its own. CBOSS’ active promotion of its convergent solutions incorporating Symantec components has established a solid foundation for the progressive development of cooperation between the companies. As a result, CBOSS is now one of the first Symantec OEM partners in Eastern Europe.
The signed OEM agreement empowers CBOSS to fully implement the single point of responsibility principle, when a single vendor provides its customers with a single entry point for all units and components of the full-fledged convergent solutions. To CBOSS customers it means a facilitated interaction with only one vendor, enhanced quality of professional services, a more transparent cooperation, savings in time and material resources related to technical support and, hence, lower TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) of the deployed solutions.
Andrey Morozov, the founder of CBOSS, notes, “In today’s telecom market, only fully-integrated end-to-end convergent technologies can ensure operators’ competitiveness. For CBOSS, signing of this OEM agreement is another tactical step in the customer- and subscriber-focused strategy of business development, TCO reduction, and improvement of the company’s solution reliability, which CBOSS continuously adheres to.”
