At the beginning of 2015, CBOSS successfully upgraded a convergent service platform for the Geocell operator, a Georgian subsidiary of the large international telecom company TeliaSonera.
The project was delivered flawlessly from a technical point of view and on a tight schedule without a moment’s downtime, so that none of Geocell’s current business processes was affected. Thanks to the careful compliance with the CBOSS’ corporate project management methodology “1-2-3-4-5,” it took only two weeks for CBOSS engineers to complete the necessary work.
On a very challenging schedule, CBOSS project team in close cooperation with Geocell engineers replaced the equipment which integrated the CBOSSacc Automatic Customer Care System with the operator’s network by a SIGTRAN-compatible advanced server solution.
The project consisted of installation and connection of the new equipment, configuration of system and application software, carrying out acceptance tests. The server solution installed by CBOSS features higher reliability, better fault tolerance, and a more compact size as compared with the system the operator had used before. Besides, the SIGTRAN support enabled Geocell to integrate CBOSSacc with the advanced new switch.
It is of crucial importance that transfer of CBOSSacc call processing load to the new server solution was carried out without a moment’s interruption of the operator’s services. CBOSS engineers deployed and configured the system and application software on the recently installed equipment to make it ready for the load migration at any moment convenient to the operator. After getting convincing evidence that the new equipment operated as expected, Geocell engineers transferred CBOSSacc call processing load to it.
Uninterrupted service delivery was distinguished by the operator as CBOSS quality hallmark.
