In September 2014 CBOSS and Orange Moldova, an Orange Group subsidiary, completed a joint project on the full-scale upgrade of CBOSSip, the certified feature-rich IP Mediation class solution for automation of delivery and accounting of the Internet services for Orange Moldova mobile subscribers.
Implementation of the CBOSSip upgrade project has improved the Orange Moldova readiness to the continual growth of number of subscribers selecting a more extensive mode of using the internet services through mobile devices, by the guaranteed high-quality of the mobile data services and continuity of the operator’s business processes. Now even more subscribers of Orange Moldova will be able to enjoy the mobile data services sustainably delivered by the upgraded platform with increased fault tolerance.
During the CBOSSip Internet Platform upgrade, CBOSS installed its cutting-edge CBOSS BladeSystem. Besides, some servers have been transferred to ATCA (Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture) – a standard widely used in telecommunications industry for better hardware and software systems control and lower TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) of telecom’s IT infrastructure.
Owing to use of the CBOSS brand project management methodology “1-2-3-4-5” and the coordinated teamwork of professionals from CBOSS and Orange Moldova, the CBOSSip Internet Platform upgrade was completed within the shortest time period and without a negative impact on the existing business processes involved in delivery of the data services to the Orange Moldova mobile subscribers.
Andrey Morozov, Chairman of the Board of CBOSS, says, “We are pleased that Orange has selected the technology of convergence offered by CBOSS and applies it step by step, thus providing for higher service quality and availability at lower TCO of the IT infrastructure.”
